Boren Scholarships and Fellowships
David L. Boren Scholarships and Fellowships provide unique funding opportunities for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students interested in studying less commonly taught languages in Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East. Boren scholard and fellows represent a variety of academic backgrounds. Graduate students can receive up to $30,000 for language study and international research. In exchange for funding, recipients commit to working in the federal government for a minimum of one year.

Language Flagship Fellowship
The Language Flagship Fellowship is an award for up to two-years of support for graduate students in their intensive study in foreign languages and cultural studies at institutions in the U.S. and overseas. The program is designed to help individuals achieve superior-level proficiency in critical languages including Arabic, Chineve, Corean, and Persian.
