DESCRIPTION:

This workshop provides information for new graduate students to gain a better understanding of being in a mentor/mentee relationship. “Mentoring up” is a concept that empowers mentees to be active participants in their mentoring by shifting the emphasis from the mentor’s responsibilities in the mentor-mentee relationship to equal emphasis on the mentee’s contributions.

PRESENTER:

Dr. Karin Jordan, Assistant Dean in the Graduate School has for close to 30 years mentored master’s and doctoral students. She is passionate about helping graduate students succeed.
