University Fellowships

University Fellowships are used to recruit new, incoming graduate students to Ohio State. Students cannot apply directly for these fellowships. Each Ohio State graduate program has a limited number of students that they can nominate for fellowship consideration.

  • Distinguished University Fellowship
  • Dean's Distinguished University Fellowship
  • Extended Dean's Distinguished University Fellowship

University Fellowship

Number of Years 1 year (first year of graduate school)
Provisions Coverage of tuition, most fees, monthly stipend while on fellowship
Health Insurance 100% contribution by Ohio State

Distinguished University Fellowship

Number of Years 2 years (first and dissertation years)
Provisions Coverage of tuition, most fees, monthly stipend while on fellowship
Health Insurance 100% contribution by Ohio State

Susan Huntington Dean’s Distinguished University Fellowship

Number of Years 3 years (first, second, and dissertation years)
Provisions Coverage of tuition, most fees, monthly stipend while on fellowship
Health Insurance 100% contribution by Ohio State
