Do you have research you'd like to share? Looking for professionalization, networking and presentation experience for your CV or resume? Interested in engaging with scholars from similar fields to share your work and gain feedback? The 39th annual Edward F. Hayes Advanced Research Forum will be held 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, 2025. Graduate students at Ohio State have the opportunity to present their research in poster or oral/paper formats. Details follow below:
Presentation Opportunity
The Hayes Forum is an interdisciplinary event that showcases the research of graduate students and postdoctoral scholars across Ohio State and promotes fruitful exchanges between graduate students, trainees, faculty, the administration and the public. In addition, the Hayes Forum is a chance for graduate students and postdocs to win cash prizes in recognition of their exemplary research (cash prizes for all competitions this year total more than $17,000). Prizes for graduate students will be paid by the Graduate School.
Submission Deadline
The abstract submission deadline for the 2025 forum has been extended and is now Monday, Dec. 9, at 11:59 p.m. Information about the Hayes Forum and applying to it (including eligibility rules, abstract and application requirements, academic areas and abstract evaluation) can be found on the Council of Graduate Students website.
Nominate a Judge for Hayes!
Have a favorite faculty or staff member, Ohio State alumni community member, or Columbus-area colleague who you think should judge applicant abstracts or participant presentations at the forum? Nominate them through the Hayes Forum online Judge Nomination form! Judges only need a terminal degree located in the area they will be judging and need not be directly/currently employed by Ohio State or be an alumnus or alumna.
The forum is co-sponsored by the Council of Graduate Students, the Graduate School, the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, and the Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge (ERIK), with additional organizational and operational support from the Office of Student Life.
