2026 Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week

 As we celebrate Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week, I am proud to recognize and thank our extraordinary graduate and professional students at The Ohio State University. From April 6–10, 2026, we pause to honor not only your dedication and perseverance, but also the many ways you strengthen our university through your research, teaching, clinical work, creative activity and service.

This academic year alone, our graduate and professional students have advanced new knowledge, supported undergraduate learning, contributed to meaningful community partnerships and helped shape Ohio State’s national and global impact. Your accomplishments, both seen and unseen, are essential to who we are as an institution, and the Graduate School and the university are deeply grateful for your commitment and leadership.

Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week offers opportunities to celebrate together and to say thank you in person. The week begins with our flagship event, Donuts with the Deans, where students can connect with university leadership and be recognized for the vital role they play across campus. Throughout the week, the Council of Graduate Students, in partnership with the Graduate School, will host daily giveaways, social events and opportunities to relax, connect with peers and take pride in all you have achieved.

Highlights include a lively Game Night and C.G.S. Open House and a hands-on Instructional Kitchen experience that brings students together in a fun and informal setting. We are also pleased to offer multiple professional portrait sessions throughout April, supporting your next steps as scholars and professionals.

Importantly, our appreciation does not end when the week concludes. Additional events and resources continue through April and into May, reflecting our ongoing commitment to supporting your success and well-being.
