Strong mentorship has been linked to enhanced mentee productivity, self-efficacy, and career satisfaction, and is an important predictor of the academic success of graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. The Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research (CIMER) has developed a curriculum which we will use in this upcoming workshop for faculty. By participating in this interactive, discussion-based workshop, faculty will develop and/or enhance their mentoring skills and receive resources and materials to support effective mentoring of graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.

This session will focus on two key competencies: Fostering Independence and Assessing Understanding. With only 25 spots available, advance registration is required. For any questions, please reach out to the Ohio State Mentoring Initiative Team at mentoring@osu.edu
