Description

Anyone can help prevent suicide by learning the risks, warning signs, and how to intervene! The Ohio State University Suicide Prevention Program (OSUSPP) is offering two opportunities to graduate & professional students, staff, and faculty to learn how to identify suicide risk and how to respond to any Buckeye who may be experiencing distress.  This 90-minute certifiable training experience includes important information about suicide, interactive dialogue, and role play. REACH is designed to help the Ohio State community prevent suicide by teaching how to:

Recognize warning signs

Engage with empathy

Ask directly about suicide

Communicate hope

Help suicidal individuals access care and treatment

Pre-registration is required for either the May 13, 8:30-10 a.m. or June 11 10-11:30 a.m. trainings.
