Drs. Varun Gadkari and Tracy Gadkari both earned their Ph.D.’s in Biochemistry from the Ohio State Biochemistry Program (OSBP). Varun graduated in 2017 and continued his training as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Michigan Chemistry, developing new skills in the field of biological mass spectrometry. Upon graduating in 2020, Tracy jumped right into industry, joining the chemical company BASF. In 2022, Varun accepted a tenure-track faculty position at the University of Minnesota Department of Chemistry, where he now leads his own research group. Tracy has held multiple roles within BASF, most recently serving as a Technical Services Manager since 2024.
Varun and Tracy now live in Minnesota, where they balance their careers with family life with two sons (5.5 mo. old and 2.75 yr old) and a dog (8.5 yr old).
