Graduate School Fall Writing Retreat

The Ohio State University Graduate School is pleased to announce that its Fall Writing Retreat will take place Friday, Oct. 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Research Commons in the 18th Avenue Library.

This event offers an opportunity for graduate and professional students to advance in their dissertations, theses and other academic writing projects. The Fall Writing Retreat provides a writing skills workshop, structured writing time, light breakfast and a catered lunch. 

Registration is required, and limited spots are available. The deadline to register is Friday, Sept. 18.

Agenda

• 9 – 9:15 a.m.: Check-in and light breakfast (coffee, tea, bagels, pastries)
• 9:15 – 9:45 a.m.: Writing skills mini-workshop with Dr. Stephen John Quaye
• 9:45 a.m. – 12 p.m.: Writing block I
• 12 – 12:30 p.m.: Catered lunch
• 12:30 – 3 p.m.: Writing block II
