From the Office of International Affairs
The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program competition for the 2027-2028 academic year is now open. With more than 380 awards in over 130 countries, Fulbright provides exceptional opportunities for faculty to advance their research, expand international collaborations, and strengthen the global profile of their academic units.
Most award applications are due Tuesday, September 15, 2026, and U.S. citizenship is required. Grant lengths vary from two to twelve months, and some awards offer Flex Options designed to accommodate academic-year teaching obligations.
The Office of International Affairs offers comprehensive advising, including assistance identifying suitable awards, refining project ideas, and preparing strong proposals. Faculty members and professional staff are encouraged to contact Joanna Kukielka-Blaser to learn more about available resources and the application process.
