Alumni Needed for Hayes Research Forum Alternative Career Panel
The career panel is a highlight of the Hayes Research Forum, March 3. The Hayes organizing committee is asking for PhD or master's degree alumni from any Ohio State graduate program to participate. Interested alumni should: 1) be pursuing a career outside the academy and 2) live in the central Ohio area.

Academic Integrity Workshop Available for Graduate Programs
The Graduate School, in conjunction with the Office of International Affairs and Committee on Academic Misconduct, offers one-hour academic misconduct workshops to graduate programs. The workshop gives guidance on behavior that can undermine academic integrity. The workshop provides real examples of academic misconduct (especially the use of outside sources and citation practices) and recommended tips and resources.

Zotero Basics: Citation Management Training

An overview of citation management software, and specifics on how you can use Zotero.
Graduate Game Night in the Commons
February 9, 5–7 p.m.
Join your fellow graduate students for our first Graduate Game Night in the Research Commons event! Play a classic board game or come learn a new one!
The Research Commons is a space where researchers can connect with each other and with services that support and enable their work. They offer group study room rentals, research consultations, and more.
Political and Social Research Summer Program Scholarships
Deadline: March 31
The Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) Summer Program Scholarships are open to advanced graduate students (unless stated otherwise) in specified disciplines, fields, or areas of research. All ICPSR Summer Program scholarships cover registration fees for one or both four-week sessions in the 2017 ICPSR Summer Program.
Facilitators Needed for Teaching Orientation @ Ohio State
Deadline: February 13
UCAT is seeking experienced Ohio State graduate teaching associates to facilitate or co-facilitate workshops during the Teaching Orientation @ Ohio State. GTAs need to have completed at least two terms of teaching at Ohio State by the end of the spring semester. Compensation ranges from \$50–\$200 per session.
Midterm Teaching Feedback Offered by UCAT
UCAT offers midterm feedback interviews for graduate students working as GTAs. A midterm feedback interview is a way to gather rich, contextualized information about your course and your teaching through an in-class focus group interview, facilitated by a UCAT instructional consultant.
Metacognition: The Key to Accelerated Success for Graduate Students and Their Students
February 17, 2:30–4 p.m.
MBI Auditorium, Jennings Hall, 1735 Neil Avenue
This session will present metacognitive learning strategies and time management tools that graduate students can teach their students and that they themselves can use.

Academic Enrichment Grants support activities with lasting impact across the globe. The competition is open to faculty, graduate and undergraduate students.

2017 WAC Award for Outstanding Writing Instruction
Deadline: March 3, 5 p.m.
Current graduate students are encouraged to apply for the WAC Award for Outstanding Writing Instruction. The award honors graduate students who have used writing assignments and activities to help students overcome learning challenges.
