Promoting Professional Development and Articulating Your Mentoring Plan with Dr. Danielle Fosler-Lussier (Professor, Music) and Dr. Nicole Nieto (Assistant Vice Provost, Outreach and Engagement)
Strong mentorship has been linked to enhanced mentee productivity, self-efficacy, career satisfaction, and is an important predictor of the academic success of graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. The Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research (CIMER) has developed a curriculum which we will use in this upcoming workshop for faculty. By participating in this interactive, discussion-based workshop, faculty will develop and/or enhance their mentoring skills and receive resources and materials to support effective mentoring of graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. This session will focus on two key competencies: Promoting Professional Development and Articulating Your Mentoring Plan. With only 25 spots available, advance registration is required.
