Description

A Wellness Wednesday: Get Engaged Event

This workshop will focus on the role of the Graduate and Professional Student (GPS) Ombuds Person is at Ohio State University. More specifically, how the GPS Ombuds Person can serve as a great resource to graduate students who experience challenges and issues with faculty and/or advisor in their department (or program). Focus will also be on the GPS Ombuds Person’s role (to offer advice, explain options, and direct graduate students to the correct resources) and function (to be independent, confidential and impartial). Most importantly graduate students will learn that the GPS Ombuds Person provides a safe space for graduate students to voice concerns, without fearing that the information will be shared, unless they (the graduate student) choose to take that step themselves.
