The Presidential Fellowship is the most prestigious award given by the Graduate School to recognize the outstanding scholarly accomplishments and potential of graduate students entering the final phase of their dissertation research or terminal degree project.

  • 2025-2026 Alumni Grants for Graduate Research and Scholarship (AGGRS) Awardees

    The Graduate School is happy to announce the 2025-2026 Alumni Grants for Graduate Research and Scholarship (AGGRS) recipients.

    The AGGRS program provides small grants up to $5,000 to support the research and scholarship of doctoral or terminal master’s degree candidates for their dissertations or theses.

  • 2025-26 Graduate Associate Leadership Award (GALA) nominations open

    Nominations for the Graduate Associate Leadership Award (GALA) will be accepted from Ohio State graduate faculty starting Sept. 8, 2025. Graduate students who have been actively engaged in leadership responsibilities on and/or off campus are eligible. Your faculty advisor or another graduate faculty member familiar with your leadership activities can nominate you. Award winners receive a certificate, $2,000, and are invited to attend our Graduate School Annual Award Ceremony in spring term.

  • 2025-26 Graduate Associate Teaching Award (GATA) is accepting nominations

    Nominations are now open for the 2025-2026 Graduate Associate Teaching Award (GATA), Ohio State’s highest recognition of the exceptional teaching provided by graduate students serving as graduate teaching associates (GTAs). This is a one-time $2,000 award given out every spring. Exceptional GTAs can be nominated from now until Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 5 p.m. by any Ohio State student, staff or faculty member.
