    The Graduate School is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2023‐2024 Graduate Associate Teaching Awards (GATA). GATA is the premier award for celebrating excellence in teaching at the graduate level. Recipients of the GATA are nominated by faculty, staff and students through an anonymous nomination process.

    Nominations for the Graduate Associate Teaching Award (GATA) are open through November 15, 2023. Any Ohio State student, faculty, or staff member may nominate a GTA.

  • Six graduate students awarded Fulbright U.S. Student Program fellowship for 2023-2024

    A record number of graduate students from The Ohio State University have been awarded prestigious Fulbright U.S. Student Program fellowships for 2023-2024.

  • 2022-2023 Graduate Associate Leadership Award Recipients

    The Graduate School is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2022-2023 Graduate Associate Leadership Award. 

    The Graduate Associate Leadership Award (GALA) is Ohio State’s recognition of the exceptional leadership provided by graduate students as leaders (on and off campus) while being an OSU graduate (master’s or doctoral) student.

    2022-2023 Graduate Associate Leadership Award Recipients:

  • Two graduate students recognized as leaders by the National Association of Social Workers.

    The Emerging Social Work Leader Award recognizes outstanding contributions of members who have been in practice for five years or less. In honoring the Emerging Social Work Leader, NASW highlights the exemplary contributions of social workers who are new to the field.

  • The Graduate School Three Minute Thesis selects University Finalist to Compete Regionally

    On February 15, the Graduate School hosted the 2023 Three Minute Thesis competition culminating in the selection of the university wide Three Minute Thesis OSU finalist.

    The event took place in the Graduate School on the second floor of University Hall and was organized by Assistant Dean of Graduate Development and Engagement, Karin Jordan.

  • OK-PROS 2022 Award Recipients

    The Ohio State University Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) and W.K. Kellogg Foundation Postdoctoral Recruitment and Onboarding Supplement (OK-PROS) program supports postdoctoral scholars recruited by Ohio State faculty by providing up to $5,000 to aid them with jump-starting their research agenda at the university and relocating to Columbus (or other Ohio State location).

  • 2022-23 Presidential Fellows

    The Graduate School is happy to announce the 2022-2023 Presidential Fellowship recipients. 

    The Presidential Fellowship is the most prestigious award given by the Graduate School to recognize the outstanding scholarly accomplishments and potential of graduate students entering the final phase of their dissertation research or terminal degree project.

  • 2022-2023 AGGRS Recipients Announced

    The Graduate School is happy to announce the 2022-2023 Alumni Grants for Graduate Research and Scholarship (AGGRS) recipients.

    The AGGRS program provides small grants up to $5,000 to support the research and scholarship of doctoral or terminal master’s degree candidates for their dissertations or theses.
