Postdocs and Faculty Come Together for STEM with Partnership at Wilberforce University

The Ohio State University and Wilberforce University partnership around STEM brought together faculty and postdocs from both institutions for a multidisciplinary minisymposium, hosted March 20, 2024, on the Wilberforce campus. The Ohio State Multidisciplinary Minisymposium at Wilberforce University was made possible thanks to support from the National Science Foundation (GR133174, PI: Zakee Sabree) and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation (GR128445, PI: Zakee Sabree).

2023-24 Graduate Associate Teaching Award (GATA) Recipients

The Graduate School is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2023‐2024 Graduate Associate Teaching Awards (GATA). GATA is the premier award for celebrating excellence in teaching at the graduate level. Recipients of the GATA are nominated by faculty, staff and students through an anonymous nomination process.

Julie Schnell, former Graduate School Graduate Assistant Awarded Graduate Student of the Year

The Ohio College of Personnel Association recently awarded their 2024 Robert F. Rogers Graduate Student of the Year award to Julie Schnell. Julie was nominated for the award by colleagues in Leadership and Community Engagement for her work as the Graduate Teaching Associate for Local Service Programs. At the time of the nomination, Julie was unaware that her colleagues had submitted her name which led to a further surprise when she received the award.

3MT competition showcases graduate students’ research

Five graduate students presented their research during the recent Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition, hosted by the Graduate School.
