Graduate School Holiday Closures

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, no classes are scheduled on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. The Graduate School will be closed for in-person services on this date.

Additionally, all University offices will be closed on the following dates:

  • November 28–29, 2024
  • December 24–25, 2024
  • January 1, 2025

The Graduate School will also be closed to in-person services on the following dates:

FY2025 Fulbright-Hays Dissertation Research Fellowship Applicants Sought

The Office of International Affairs is soliciting applicants for the FY2025 U.S. Department of Education Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad (DDRA) Fellowship competition. This program provides grants to colleges and universities to fund individual doctoral students to engage in full-time dissertation research abroad in modern foreign languages and area studies for periods of six to 12 months.

Nominate a Postdoc for the President’s Postdoctoral Scholars Program by December 2nd

The Graduate School and Office of Postdoctoral Affairs are pleased to announce that the President’s Postdoctoral Scholars Program (PPSP) 2024 competition is now open! PPSP recognizes highly qualified postdocs who will become leaders in their fields. The program supports the scholarly efforts and training of terminal degree holders (MFA, PhD, and others) who wish to pursue careers in research and creative inquiry, as well as providing professional development and networking opportunities.

New Graduate School Career Success Program Starting this Fall

The Graduate School is excited to announce the coming availability of two innovative career training platforms, Beyond the Professoriate and Beyond Graduate School. These platforms, created by the Center for Graduate Career Success, provide a comprehensive and robust career exploration support system, offering accessible resources tailored to the unique needs of graduate students. 

Submit a proposal for the Engaged Scholarship Symposium Graduate Student Poster Competition

The 2024 Engaged Scholarship Symposium, hosted by the Office of Outreach and Engagement, will feature a graduate student poster competition to provide graduate and professional students an opportunity to share their engaged scholarship. The call for proposals closes on Sept. 12. 

Financial Support Initiative for Faculty Pursuing Graduate and Postdoc Training Grants

The Graduate School's Strategic Training Grants team has established an initiative to provide financial support to faculty who are applying to extramural federal and private foundation training grant opportunities that support graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.

Register for the responsible conduct in research course!

Registration still open for responsible conduct of research course that meet NSF/NIH requirements

The Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge has developed a credit-earning course to meet National Institutes of Health (NIH) and National Science Foundation (NSF) requirements for training in the responsible and ethical conduct of research (RCR). GRADSCH 8000: Responsible Conduct of Research is a weekly, in person, fall term course open to anyone at the university conducting research.
