The Graduate School's Strategic Training Grants (STG) team has established an initiative to provide financial support to faculty who are applying to extramural federal and private foundation training grant opportunities that support multiple graduate students and/or postdoctoral scholars. 

Note that this pre-award initiative is designed to support PIs who are in the proposal development and grant submission process and is not intended to provide post-award salary support for PIs of active training grants.

SACNAS advances Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) by hosting the largest multidisciplinary conference in the country. NDiSTEM offers a unique space where attendees can bring their whole selves to STEM. This transformative event equips, empowers, and energizes participants through research presentation opportunities, professional development sessions, an Academic and Career Expo, and vibrant cultural celebrations that build community. 

The University of Tsukuba invites applications for two Visiting Assistant Professor positions for the Autumn 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters. This opportunity is open to graduating doctoral students and postdoctoral scholars at Ohio State from any academic discipline. Selected finalists will be invited to interview with the Tsukuba administration and, if selected, matched to an academic department at Tsukuba that aligns with their expertise and research interests.

Up to 4 travel awards are provided each cycle in the amount of up to $750.00 for eligible applicants who are participating in an academic, professional development conference, or training activity. The award is offered as a supplemental reimbursement to cover expenses related to the activity (registration fees, transportation and lodging, etc.). The award is not meant to reimburse for activities that are not primarily professional in purpose.

The 39th annual Hayes Forum will be held on Friday February 28th, 2025. The Hayes Forum presents exemplary research by graduate students and postdoctoral scholars from across Ohio State and facilitates fruitful exchanges between graduate students, trainees, faculty, the administration, and the public. 

2025 round for SASR Grants is now open!
