  • Interested in graduate school? Enroll in the National Name Exchange

    From the Council of Graduate Schools

    Ohio State master’s students who are interested in continuing their graduate studies are encouraged to enroll in the National Name Exchange (NNE). A free program managed by the Council of Graduate Schools, NNE helps students understand graduate programs, apply to graduate school, and succeed once enrolled in a graduate program. NNE enrollees will receive information from the Council of Graduate Schools and the over 110 participating institutions, including: 

    • A digital copy of the Making a Grad School Plan guide
    • Exclusive access to NNE webinars and virtual events
    • Application fee waivers from some participating institutions 

     Enrollment is easy and takes just five minutes to complete. The deadline to enroll is June 19, 2026.

  • Current faculty and SROP alumni: Celebrate SROP’s 40th anniversary

    Are you a current Ohio State faculty member and an alum of the Big Ten Academic Alliance’s Summer Research Opportunities Program (SROP) (at any campus)? If so, the Graduate School is interested in connecting with you and inviting you to take part in SROP’s 40th anniversary celebrations. 

    Ohio State faculty and SROP alumni are encouraged to reach out to the Ohio State SROP team at gradrecruit@osu.edu so that we can provide you with additional information about ways to get involved with Ohio State SROP and the 40th anniversary. 

  • Ohio State Mentoring Initiative invites departments and programs to request Better Research Through Better Mentoring workshops

    The Ohio State Mentoring Initiative invites department and programs to request Better Research Through Better Mentoring workshops for the summer and/or upcoming academic year. 

    Better Research Through Better Mentoring workshops are designed to support faculty in their endeavors to learn tangible skills and techniques to help them take their mentoring skills to the next level. 

    To request a free, one-hour workshop, complete the request form via Qualtrics. To learn more about the Ohio State Mentoring Initiative and to see a list of workshop topics, visit go.osu.edu/osmi

  • Join the Consortium of Summer Undergraduate Research Experiences

    Are you a faculty member leading a summer research experience for undergraduates? If so, please consider joining the Consortium of Undergraduate Research Experiences that is now housed in the Graduate School.

    The Consortium is made up of more than 10 summer undergraduate research programs from across the university. The Consortium provides weekly professional development workshops, regular social events, and a culminating research symposium each year for students in participating programs. 

    While there is no cost for faculty who want to join the Consortium, we do ask that Consortium members participate in one of the three Consortium subcommittees or volunteer at and attend at least two events throughout the summer. To learn more, visit the Consortium website. To join, please email gradrecruit@osu.edu with your program name and number of student participants by Friday, May 15.

  • Graduate Program Curriculum Survey March 25 to April 28

    The Graduate School is planning to conduct a short survey of graduate students that specifically focuses on programmatic learning objectives for professional and career goal support. This survey will run from March 24 to April 28. This survey will help the graduate school gain insight on how to support all of you with assessment initiatives. Below is a copy of the email that is sent to graduate students complete the survey.
