  • Sign up for the Dennis Learning Center Productivity Program

    The Dennis Learning Center (DLC) is offering a free Productivity Program for graduate students. The DLC Productivity Program will help you boost your productivity so you can reach your academic goals. Each week, a Graduate Academic Coach from the DLC will share useful research and effective strategies to help improve your productivity. This program will focus on common struggles for graduate students: improving time management, reducing procrastination and distractions, managing multiple responsibilities, overcoming perfectionism. After completing this program, you will have established productive habits and have renewed confidence in your ability to get things done. 

    Program Details

    • 6-week program with weekly 1-hour meetings
    • Meet on Zoom with a DLC Academic Coach and a small group of graduate students
    • Stay accountable by setting weekly goals and tracking your progress on Carmen
    • Free for enrolled graduate students at Ohio State

  • Apply for the Job Search Strategies for the Professoriate Summer Program

    Planning on graduating soon and wanting to pursue a career in higher education, the professoriate? Please join us for this year’s summer workshop series, with experts from across the university. The training will focus on things such as how to write your cover letter, teaching and research statements, preparing for a Zoom interview, and more. Please RSVP and join us for this remote training. The training will occur on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

    Starting date: June 11 - no meetings are scheduled for the week of July 4)

  • World Kindness and Random Acts of Kindness Days in February

    Sharing kindness is part of being a Buckeye, and while it happens all year at Ohio State, it carries special meaning in this month. February 13 is World Kindness Day and February 17 is Random Acts of Kindness Day.  Over the next two weeks, foster connections and boost happiness throughout our Buckeye community. Let's share kindness together, make a positive impact on our community by encouraging graduate faculty, staff and students in ways that matter most.

  • Apply for a Mentoring Month Mini-Grant

    We are still accepting Mentoring Month Mini-Grants through the month of February! Departments and programs, graduate faculty and staff, and graduate student organizations are invited to apply for a Mentoring Month Mini Grant of up to $500 to host an event or initiative to recognize mentors and mentees or celebrate mentorship. Email mentoring@osu.edu with any questions.

  • Sustainability Institute Opens 2026 Student Sustainability Research Grant Program

    From the Ohio State Sustainability Institute

    The Ohio State University is dedicated to advancing education, research, innovation and partnerships related to sustainability. To further these goals, the Sustainability Institute is pleased to offer funding to support student research in sustainability.

    Priority will be given to student research that creates opportunities to use our campuses as living laboratories or connects Ohio State to our local communities. 

    The maximum award per application is $5,000, and the total funding available is $40,000 for the spring semester 2026 grant offering. Since the Sustainability Institute launched in 2019, it has awarded over $275,000 to over 70 student projects through this grant program.
